The REAL me

Wow! Have I got Amanda Sanders fooled. She said a lot of nice things on her blog about me. I have decided that she does not know me well enough and that we should spend some time together so that she can know the "Real Me." I am full of sin. God is working on two right now : 1) Anger 2) Vanity. So when Amanda says nice things about me it feeds into my vanity. Anger is a whole different issue and I am not ready to go there yet. Amanda, Thank you for your kind words and throwing me into this blogging world. I have 4 followers now. This also feeds into my vanity. I may have to shut this thing down...

Today has been a good day

Today has been a good day. We traveled down to my parents house for the youth deer hunt. My two boys love to hunt with their PoPo. For you anti-hunting readers, deer hunting to us is not about killing deer. Deer hunting is about being out in nature with someone you love. The boys love to be with PoPo. I love being with PoPo too! Don't get me wrong a deer will be killed by one of my sweet boys and we will enjoy the meat tonight for supper. Football has been on the TV all day as we wander in and out of the house. Fishing takes place when we are tired of hunting. I have spent some time with my mom and grandma today going to yardsales. After a week of hustle and bustle, it is so nice to come here and rest. It is nice to be just close to the ones we love. Sometimes there are no words. One of us will be catching a catnap in the chair while the others are in the kitchen preparing food for our next meal. (We eat really well while we are here!) Dusty told me one time that God wants this same kind of time with us. It just wants to be with us. Resting in Him. Thank you Lord for rest with the ones we love. I look forward to resting with You. Today has been a good day.

Ryan has been gone for 5 whole days. He went fishing for a brand new $40,000 bass boat. (You thought he went fishing for fish!) Actually he did, but the prize for catching the biggest stringer over 3 days is a boat. He got 3rd place. A check for $1800 ain't bad for a few days work. I am so glad he is home. The kids are too. I missed him. After he has been out fishing for a few days, he always grows out his beard and has a tan. I tease him that it is like havin' a new man in the bed with me! Something else is different with him. He is committed to stop dipping the "yucky stuff" (i.e. tobacco). Please pray for him. It is gonna be hard for him. And believe me, it is gonna be hard on us too! I am proud of him. And I love him. Ryan, thank you for being the Godly husband that I yearn for and being the best dad to our babies. They're lucky kids.

I am new to this whole blogging thing. I started up this thing last week and I decided that I would take a look at it again. I noticed that I have 0 followers. I have not told anyone about my blogspot yet. I plan on downloading some pictures sometime of my family and telling funny jokes to all my readers. But right now, I am still learning the ropes and I really don't want anyone looking at my pitiful blogspot. I will call momma first and let her know. She will love it!
